During the six-day exhibition from November 5 to 10, Heraeus was stopped by thousands of visitors at its booth, and had in-depth exchanges with officials of German Consulate in Shanghai, government representatives, customers, associations, research institutions and media, with a view to boosting the high-quality development of China’s PV, EV, steel, semiconductor and other industries.
On November 9, Heraeus and Futong Group, a global leading manufacturer of fiber optic cables, held a strategic agreement signing ceremony. Thanks to the booming information and communication industry in China, such as channeling more computing resources from China’s eastern regions to less developed yet resources-rich western regions, as well as 5G networks, there will be a growing demand for fiber optic network infrastructure. To this end, the two companies signed a $60+ million long-term strategic agreement with a commitment to supporting the country’s vision of developing into a data powerhouse and bolstering China’s telecommunications industry.
To give full play the influence of the CIIE, Heraeus organized four sessions of forums live online to reach a wider audience, where Heraeus offered insights into “carbon neutrality”, as well as the status quo, challenges and opportunities in the fields of energy, automotive, steel and circular economy, and proposed enlightening suggestions for related industries on how to develop in a greener and lower-carbon footprint.

As a close partner of the CIIE, Heraeus has participated in the event for five consecutive years and has secured a booth at the 6th CIIE by signing a contract in advance in August this year. It is learned that only 200-odd of thousands of exhibitors in all the previous editions received such an award.
